Indication Type Description:
Drug Interaction:
Alcohol or other CNS depressants.
Concomittant ritonavir use not recommended
Caution with other potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (eg, ketoconazole )
Indication:
Allergic Rhinitis
Seasonal allergic rhinitis
Adverse Reaction:
Dysgeusia, epistaxis, headache, somnolence
Contra-Indications:
Special precautions-
Avoid use in recent nasal ulcers, nasal sugery, or nasal trauma
Respiratory tract tuberculosis, Infections (eg fungal ,bactrial, viral, ocular herpes simplex)
Avoid exposure to chicken poxand measles, if exposed consider anti-infective prophylactic
therapy
If adrenal insufficiency exists following systemic corticostroid therapy , replacement with
topical corticosteroidsmay exacerbate symptoms of adrenal insufficiency ( eg lassitude,
depression)
Monitor growth routinely in children
Monitor for hypercortiicism and HPA axis suppression ( if occur discontinue gradually ),
and Canida infections or other nasal mucosal changes
History of increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, and/ot cataract.
Monitor any changes in vision
Avoid eyes.
Pregnancy, Lactation
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indication-
Allergic rhinitis
Seasonal allergic rhinitis
Dosage-
1 spay per nostril twice daily
Children - not recommended
Pregnancy and lactation:
Observe caution if used during pregnancy or administered to breast feeding woman
