Frusemide/ Ethacrynic acid
Enhances toxicity of frusemide and ethacrynic acid.
Aminoglycoside / Cephaloridine/ Polymaxin-B / Cisplatin / Vancomycin
Potentiates neurotoxicity/nephrotoxicity by other aminoglycosides,
cephaloridine, polymaxin-B, cisplatin and vancomycin.
Neuroblocking agents
Potentiates neuromuscular blocking agents.
Beta-lactum antibiotics
Incompatible with beta lactum antibiotics for treatment of life
threatening infection caused by Pseudoaeruginosa.
Indication:
Serious life threatening infections
Adverse Reaction:
Anaphylaxis,nephrotoxicity,neuromuscular blockade(anesthesized patients receiving Neuromuscular blocking agent and myastehnia gravis). Renal impairment, ototoxicity, urticaria, Nausea, vomiting, Headache, pain, Phlebitis and skin reaction at site of infection.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersens to the drug or othe aminoglycosides. Special precautions: Renal impairment,pregnancy,elderly.

IM or IV. - Adults- 1.5 to 2mg/kg every 12 hours.
