Drug Interaction:
In combination potassium losing diuretics(thiazide), hypokalemia or hypercalcinuria enhanced. Additive effect with other antihypertensive agents without potentiating side effects.

Adverse Reaction:
Headache, dizziness, lassitude, mild hypokalemia.
Contra-Indications:
Severe renal/hepatic failure,lactation.
Special precautions: Frist trimester of pregnancy,elderly.

Dosage: Adults - 2.5mg as a single dose daily.
Patient Information:

1.Allergies- tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to indapamide or other sulfonamide type medicines. Also tell your doctor if youare allergic to any other substances, such as foods, presrvatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy - indapamide has not been shown to cause birth defects or other problems in animal studies.
3.Breast feeding- indapamide has not been reported to cause problems in nursing babies
4 Children - no specific information comparing use of indapamide in children with use in other age groups
5. Elderly- dizziness or lightheadedness and signs of too much potassium loss are more likely to occur in elderly.
6. Other medicines - Let your doctor know what other medicines you are taking, so that he can advice you accordingly. Digitalis glycosides - use with indapamide may increase the chance of side effects of digitalis glycosides Lithium - use with indapamide may casue high levels of lithium which may increase the chance of side effects.
7. Other medical problems - Tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems especially - Diabetes mellitus or Gout - indapamide may make these conditions worse Kidney diseasse - may prevent indapamide from working properly Liver disease - higher blood levels of indapamide may occur which may increase the chance of side effects
8. Missed dose - If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as possible. however, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double doses.
9. Storage - Keep out of reach of children. Store away from heat or direct sunlight. Do not store the capsule in bathroom, near the kitchen sink, or in other damp places.
10. Outdated medicines - Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed. Be sure that any discarded medicine is out of reach of children.
