Drug Interaction:
Decreases lovadopa effects
Effects may be enhanced by using drugs with antimuscranic properties or MAOI concurrently
May antagonise the GI effects of cisapride, metoclopramide, and domperidone
IV admin in presence of cyclopropane anesthesia can result in ventricular arrhythmias

Peptic ulcer
Adverse Reaction:
Xerotomia, loss of taste, nausea, vomiting, constipation, reduced sweating,
Urinary hesistency and retention, blurred vision, cyclopegia,
Increased ocular tension, tachycardia, palpitation, headache, anxiety
Bloated feeling, impotence, skin reactions, severe anaphylaxis
Contra-Indications:
Hypersensitivity
Glaucoma obstructive uropathy, obstructive GI diseases, intestinal atony
Paralytic ileus, pyloric stenosis , myastina gravis, unstable CV status in acute haemorrhage
Injectable not recommended in new borns < 1month if benzyl alcohol present in the preparation
Special precautions-
Pregnancy, lactation.
CV disease , hyperthyroidism, hepatic or renal impairment
Enlarged prostrate, diarrhoea, fever.
May cause ileus or megacolon in patients with ulcerative colitis
Children and elderly
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indication-
Peptic ulcer
Dosage-
adult- 1-2ml bid-tid
Parentral-
Reduction of secretion
Adult-4mcg/kg via IM admin 30-60 minutes before procedure
Introperative -.1mg via IV admin ,repeat at 2-3 min intervals when needed
Child- preoperative IM admin < 2 year - 4-9 mcg/kg .
> 2 yr 4mcg/kg dose to bengiven 30-60 min before procedure.
Intraoperative - IV admin 4mcg/kg ( Max 0.1mg ) repeat at 2-3 min interval as needed.
Max dose- adult 400mcg/dose child > 1 month 200mcg/ dose
Peptic ulcer- Adult- 0.1 -0.2 mg 3-4 times daily via IM/IV admin
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use contraindicated . Excercise caution if use is required
