Adverse Reaction:
Nausea, rash, urticaria, pain and inflammation at injection site
Superinfection (including candidiasis )
Allergy, and transcient increases in liver enzymes and bilirubin
Rarely, chloestatic jaundice has been associated with dicloxacin therapy
Contra-Indications:
Both amoxicilin and dicloxacilin are contraindicated in patients with previous history of allergy to penicillins
Both should be used with caution in elderly patients with renal impairment where reduced dose is required and those with hepatic impairment due to risk of cholestatic hepatitis
Diocloxacillin is contraindicated in those with a previous history of allergy to cephalosporins
